About Windtech
Founded in 1989 by Neil and Sarah Scheltema in the “Wild West” of Western Australia, WindTech offers a point of difference with its unique board designs. With the introduction of a fresh and innovative board range to add to the extensive WindTech back catalog, these boards are sure to leave an enduring and lasting impression on all those that are privileged to ride them.
All boards are made using the tried and proven PVC foam sandwich method using 100 kg density foam and the highest quality pre-preg carbon fibre and fibreglass material. Design, prototyping and testing are all done locally in Western Australia with final product manufactured at the highly respected Kinetic factory in Vietnam.

Neil Scheltema
Highly respected in the industry, Neil has been a key innovator during his time as board designer for WindTech since the late 80's. His design and shaping skills are well honed over many years of experience and his boards have proven to stand the test of time in areas of build quality, efficient plan shapes, rider safety & confidence, innovation.
Team Member
Dan Postle
A passionate windsurfer from the early 80's, Dan is responsible for web/marketing and provides inputs to product design. He is always the first to put up his hand when it comes to board testing and collaborates closely with Neil on many aspects of the business.

A highly competent and passionate windsurfer and film maker, Matt has stood out for his ability to consistently separate design functionality from the latest fads.
Matt has an unwavering demand for fast / grippy boards. As a National Australian Windsurfing Champion and world class wave sailor / jump demon, Neil saw Matt as a perfect fit to turbo charge board development. Matt has your back when it comes to delivering on our brand promise of real performance.
